Marlow or St Albans?

DD and I are thinking of doing a short road trip and one of the stops would be north-west or west of London (next stop would be Oxford).

I’ve never been to either place, but hear they’re both lovely. Interested in thoughts about which one we should go to? DD is 10 (a very grown up 10) and likes museum type things and absolutely loves her food and eating out. TIA

St Albans Abbey might be of interest to your DD.

Lived in both.
Marlow has a bridge. And that's it. OK - a river as well and maybe some nice waks.

St.Albans has an abbey, Roman walls, and is pleasant to walk around. More histoey

Better restaurants in Marlow. River walk is glorious. More history in at Albans. Do both!

Ohhh! Dilemma! Ok thanks - will try to shoehorn them both in!

Nice smallish museum in Verulanium Park. Waffle house just down the road. Lussmans in town very nice but there are all the usual chain restaurants too.
