Fancy dress, I really don't do fancy dress....

I'm going to Rewind. My friends are all very into dressing up and have amazing costumes. They're telling me I'll stand out like a sore thumb if I don't.

I suspect if I was growing up now I'd have "sensory issues". Comfort has always been my far the most important criteria when choosing clothes and there are lots of things I simply cant/won't wear. A nylon costume and/or a wig on a hot day are high up that list.

Anyway what I have is a couple of tshirts with 80s cultural references. Not the dayglow "I love the 80s" ones, but nice tshirts commemorating sport and music events. Things I'll probably wear again.

I plan to wear them either with shorts or jeans depending on the weather. I might see if I can find a rara skirt.

Am I really going to be the only person who's made minimal effort?

No there will be other people with similar sensory issues

You will not be the only one - lots of people are appalled by the idea of dressing up whether the clothes are uncomfortable or not!

I don't do dressing up at all. People can whistle if they want me in a costume.
