Do you let unknown parents drive your DC?

Would it depend if it was somewhere local? Would you be happy with them being driven 2-3 hours down the motorway to a theme park?

Would your answer change if an international border was crossed? Or if part of the motorway journey was in Germany?

If they're safe enough to drive their own kids, why would you not trust them with yours?

How would I know if they're safe drivers though? I mean, I know someone who is an absolute liability on the road. Someone whom I would never get in a car with, let alone my DC but she still drives her Dc around.

Tbh there isn't that much different in the roads between France/Germany/Netherlands/Austria etc (not sure on more Eastern Germany!)

My only concern would be the long day, not the driving. My children went over a "closed" not "open" border with friends.

Is there not? In France there are speed limits on the motorways, I thought German motorways are mostly unlimited.
