What would you pack for 3 days in Dublin ?

I'm heading to Dublin next week
I have carry on luggage only with Ryanair so have to be sensible with what I can fit in
The weather is looking 18-19 degrees every day with one of the days being 19 and sunny
Can I get away with no coat ? If I pack 1 black cardigan and a couple of long sleeve shirts ?

I went a few weeks ago. Raincoat and light jacket essential, other than that, t shirt, jeans and trainers fine.

It’s not cold here atm but I would def bring a rain jacket as it hasn’t stopped raining all summer!
what you’ve said sounds fine (with a v light rain jacket! Or else just get ones in dunnes or penneys when you get here)

Get one of those head support things. Unzip it and pop some items into it too.

PurpleReindeer2 · 10/08/2023 13:59

An umbrella

Ahnobother · 10/08/2023 14:05

Definitely a light raincoat. We've had rain almost every day since the end of June. Heavy flashes that would overcome an umbrella.
Temp is nice so not too heavy on tops and trousers.
The ground is wet if you're doing any walking off a footpath so a couple of pairs of shoes.
Any plans OP? Are you sightseeing or visiting friends?

Chocbuttonsandredwine · 10/08/2023 14:06

Could wear the rain coat to travel? Or nip to Penney’s (primark) once you are over there if it looks like it’s going to rain and get a cheap mac

Mom2teens2tweens · 10/08/2023 14:07

A light rain jacket which can be carried in a light backpack. I was there last week and found I was taking on and off layers as needed.
Comfy shoes.

Enjoy!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 10/08/2023 14:09

I live in Dublin and haven't needed a warm layer at all this summer, so no cardigan. It has been wet though and some of the rain has been overwhelming the drainage so there might a lot of puddles.

Dublin? You need clothes for every conceivable type of weather!

Yep, this is true.

Witchpleas · 10/08/2023 15:58

Try to stick to light natural materials, the humidity is intense at the moment.

And as PP have said prepare for rain as we've had a LOT!

DivingForLove · 10/08/2023 16:00

I’m in Dublin today! No rain 😄

I was that woman who went to Dublin without a coat!
I came back with one 😂
