Which electric car?

Looking to buy a small to medium sized new electric car. I currently own a very old diesel car which is literally falling apart.

I will be using it to drive to and back from work which is 15 mins away, 5 min school runs, take kids to clubs and lessons. We have a big car for holidays.

Based on the above, which electric car would you recommend?
I would also love to hear what you drive and its pros and cons.

My car, a second hand Leaf would fit the bill, plenty about at £5k -10k.

Thanks, can I ask why you lease it instead of buy it? I've only owned one car but know others who lease and wondering whether that's the way to go forward these days.

i had a Hyundai Kona but have just changed to mg4. The range is much better and it feels spacious.

I leased non electric cars before that. Wanted a new car but didn't want to shell out 30k or whatever it costs.

Tesla. Had ours a year and a half. No negatives at all. Very happy with it but better if you have your own driveway to have a charger installed.

Owned, second hand. I wouldn't do a leasing scheme but that's personal preference.

I’ve got a Nissan Leaf and I love it. For the distances you’re talking about a 20kw battery would probably suit you. Lots of second hand Leafs around.

I’ve only had it since May, but I wouldn’t go back to an ICE car. Really easy to drive and cheap to run.
