And you are a child. What's on the TV?
I stayed at my grandparents every Saturday and was allowed to stay up to watch Casualty. I remember really living Lara and Patrick.
They also made us watch the lottery every week which was really boring and included a game show format.
I remember a show called Whatever You Want when contestants won prizes like being an extra in a film or their recipe for a cake being released in supermarkets.

Oh now.
This is a good thread.
So I remember Dynasty I think or Dallas from early childhood
The kids from fame .
The A team and similar shows like a knight rider
Tales of the Unexpected
The Generation game both early childhood and the newer version

MissHoollie · 09/08/2023 20:00

Casualty too before it became too much of a soap opera I like the medical part

Comedycook · 09/08/2023 20:01

Blind date, gladiators, Noel's house party

Offredismysister · 09/08/2023 20:03

Beverley Hills 90210, Baywatch, Gladiators.

Those were the days, top Tv.

monpetitlapin · 09/08/2023 20:03

Total rubbish that I can't remember but probably involved Noel Edmonds. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday nights were LOADS better as that's when they put on Star Trek, Buffy and The Avengers (and later, old Doctor Who reruns)

GigiAnnna · 09/08/2023 20:04

The Brookside omnibus on Channel 4 in the early evening, then the The Generation Game and Noels House Party. Then when I was a teen it was Pop Idol/ Popstars/ The X Factor.

Daisychainsandglitter · 09/08/2023 20:05

Jeremy Beadle, Noel's House Party, Baywatch, Gladiators, Challenge Anneka, Blind Date.

monpetitlapin · 09/08/2023 20:05

But after Channel 5 turned up, we used to watch Prisoner Cell Block H as my SD used to tape it from stupid o'clock.

Jamtartforme · 09/08/2023 20:06

I’m also at my grandparents, sat on the rug in front of the fire. We’re watching Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway, Blind Date then Casualty. The plate of biscuits is out and grandpa loves critiquing the contestants.

BoredPandas · 09/08/2023 20:13

Fraggle Rock
Metal Mickey
Dr Who

My granddad would make fritters after Dr Who, happy memories.

devildeepbluesea · 09/08/2023 20:14

I’m 11-13 years old, it’s 5.45pm, it can only be Robin of Sherwood. I lived for that programme. Still do a bit.

Blind date and stars in their eyes... oh what memories at my lovely nans house ❤️

Patty101 · 09/08/2023 21:10

I remember You Bet @Sandytoesbeachywaves. Used to love that.

And what was that one with Des o' Connor and there were loads of keys that the contestant had to choose one to open a box?

Oh and another where they could win speedboats and caravans and stuff if they guessed the total value of all the prizes.

Take your pick? Think that's the one.
