Has anyone taken the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin recently with a pet?

And if so, did they ask to check pet paperwork/passports?

I have done this route lots of times with dogs 5+ years ago, and they didn’t have any sort of facilities to check pets (compared to Dover, for example)

But has it changed since Brexit?
The dog’s jabs etc are all up to date but we don’t have a current valid passport 🤦‍♀️

Family friend recently did rosslare route and dog was held until they provided passport. Came from Spain.
