Can I phone messages be archived ?

I sent an old neighbour a msg yesterday to ask her something. I can see it's been delivered but not read. It always says read previously when she's read etc. so my question is could she have archived me so that she doesn't see or what could be other potential reasons? Can this even be done on iPhone msg

Ps I know it sounds like I'm a freak but I'm just interested to hear why she maybe hasn't read my interesting text lol 😂

If it’s in WhatsApp then she could have archived the chat so any new messages go to the archive folder and she’d maybe need to scroll up to see it.

If it’s an iPhone then she may have muted you and not have a notification you’ve messaged.

Either that or she doesn’t check her phone very often! I only use WhatsApp now so forget if someone messages me on iMessage and can leave it there for days. My iMessage icon isn’t at the bottom of my screen and just in with other apps so I wouldn’t notice a message notification .
