Hi, just wondering if anyone living in the Netherlands could let me know about maternity care if you are a national. Is it free like the NHS, or do you pay an insurance, or is it like the US and you have to pay £10k’s for a birth? Or is there levels of care/private?

You can literally google “maternity care cost Netherlands” and the answers will magically appear before your very eyes

I live in the Netherlands, its private health care here, I pay around 187 a month, this covers some dental, and Dr, hospital etc, maternity care is covered.

Thank you @NannyOggsWhiskyStash and @Gahhhhhhhhh thanks, I did have a look. It’s always good to hear from people direct rather than trust “just google it”. Maybe contact MNHQ and let them know you are going to reply to every question on the site with “just google it” and their traffic and engagement and posting should drop by at least 90%. HTH,
