Where should I go?

I have a few days free next week and want to get out and about so was thinking of getting the train to visit some new places. I've never really done things like this alone as I've always been in relationships or had my kids with me. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good city or town to explore and ideas for what I should see while I'm there? I live in Liverpool if that helps.

Stratford upon Avon. Visit Shakespeare’s house and have a little boat trip down the river.

York, the Castle Museum, wander down the shambles, cruise on the river, visit the Railway museum.

Chester, walk the Roman walls, visit the Roman Amphitheatre, they also do river cruises 😂

Llandudno, go up the great orme, have an ice cream on the pier, nip over to Conwy Castle.

I like the sound of Stratford upon Avon, I've never been and love a bit of history.
