Does anyone know any possible way to speak to a human at Evri?

I’m having a nightmare with an undelivered parcel with Evri. Tracking status says it’s damaged - but no more than that. I was told last week the case would be resolved within 24 hours… I can only get hold of a bot online who doesn’t recognise the delivery postcode so I can’t get any further. If I call the help centre it’s just automated and I can’t get any more info other than ‘sorry we’ve been unable to deliver your parcel’. I don’t know what to do! It was an eBay sale. I feel awful for the buyer as I have no info for them.
feeling like I’m trapped in a dystopian world. There must be a human somewhere!
thanks for any ideas.

I had similar with DPD and eventually got a human by typing ‘I want to speak to a human’ into their web chat (after getting nonsensical bot replies)

Thank you- I’ve been trying that but it keeps telling me that it needs the delivery postcode before connecting me… but it doesn’t recognise the delivery postcode…

We have lots of people on our local Facebook pages communicating with the local driver - might be worth a try, I needed him myself once and got through to him via Facebook

This is one god thing about Vinted over Ebay, Vinted would just refund you both without you chasing the delivery company.

Could you put in your post code and say you want to talk to a human? Such a cowboy company

If it was an eBay sale did you use packlink?
If so contact them as they will talk to Evri and sort it for you.

Sometimes if you don't answer the robot enough times, it'll divert you to a person. Or if it's a case of choosing options, press the hash key.

Some good ideas thank you. I’m not sure about pack link. My husband did it and now he’s away and left me to sort it. I’ll try and find out.

Can't help you with the delivery postcode problem, but I got a real person when the recipient was out the first time that delivery was attempted and then everything stopped, no further delivery attempts, not out for delivery, nothing. I was just handed over by the bot when it had gone more than a day or two passed the supposed delivery date.

She was very helpful and sent full daily updates about how she'd contacted the local depot to ask them to search and also get information from the courier. It took nearly a week before the parcel re-emerged but then it was delivered safely.

I'm assuming that the driver was ill or had otherwise fallen off the radar and the undelivered parcels were just in some sort of stasis where no-one was doing anything with them in the short term.

Are you sure you're entering the same post code as what Evri has. No rogue spaces or confusion of 1 with lower case l (for lemon) or similar?

Your contract is with the supplier of the goods, deal with them, and perhaps ask for a bank chargeback.

Once you have had money back or the goods, make it clear to the supplier that unless they change parcel carrier, you will not do business with them again.

PaddingtonBunny · 08/08/2023 13:11

@LlynTegid we are the supplier of the goods! Obviously we’ve given money back already but I was selling a very nice bike, which is now missing/damaged/stolen… who knows? The buyer won’t be out of pocket, we insured the shipment so I guess we can get the money back at some point, if I can find someone to speak to, but I’m desperately sad for the buyer as for various reasons they needed this particular item.
