Energy at new home, calm me down!

Moving house tomorrow and realised I haven't told my current energy supplier - nor have I set up a supplier at our new property! Please tell me we won't be without power at our new home, and that the current supplier there will continue until we have ourselves sorted?!
Panicking!!

I never told mine until the day we moved, no issues at all. The current supplier will Jsut start charging you.

@TippledPink thank you. The relief is immense 🙏

I was expecting a woo thread.

Very disappointing.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. ⭐️

You will be fine, you need to take energy, water and gas readings before you leave and do the same when you arrive in the new house. This way you pay for what you use not the other owners.

Be prepared to find a pre paid metre i didn’t realise this when i recently moved and as i didn’t top it up my energy was cut off for about 2 hours while i rang the electricity company to get it changed over

@Cazzovuoi 🤣🤣🤣 will try harder next time, I promise!

@Wolfpa I'm not sure that will be the case, if the conveyancing paperwork is accurate - but you never know!

Remember to take a meter reading at both properties.
