18th Birthday Present

My son turns 18 at the end of the week. He has been very non-committal about what he would like for his birthday to the point where we haven't yet bought him anything. He had expressed an interest in a particular item but it doesn't seem like he really wants it and has been very unhelpful. He generally has everything he wants anyway but I would like to give him something other than money.

Can anyone think of anything for an 18 year old boy. He already has:

Nice wallet
Designer sunglasses
Watch
Good phone

it’s a variation on money, but what about starting an ISA or LISA

Driving lessons (if he hasn't already got his licence) or money towards car/ insurance if he has?

I set up a trust account which is only for significant expenses involved with getting established in life - can't be accessed to be frittered away on 'stuff'. It felt more like a 'proper' gift than a wad of cash. Not a huge amount, enough for a cheap car or to pay a month's rent and get set up in a flat. I'd love to do more but as a single mum it took a lot of overtime to put that together for 2 kids.

And dinner of their choice and a photo book of the highlights of their childhood.

Gold? Soverigns don't lose value and can be sold if / when he wants something.

Start a pension plan for him?
