Anyone use/ used a Theragun?

I find I am getting a really stiff neck and hamstrings recently. I do a fair amount of yoga and see a physio every 4w for sports massage but wondering about incorporating a Theragun.
Anyone have one - is it worth it?

I use (a borrowed) one on my ITBs / quads and find it helpful. I usually love a gadget but for me personally I wouldn't get the value out of from given the high cost.

I use a massage gun (and have had a theragun used on me).
I bought a generic massage gun for around £25.
They are great at relaxing tight muscles and soothing sore ones, but go carefully - I never use mine above speed 12 as that's enough for me.

Thanks! @vipersnest1 did you find a difference between the Thera and generic gun?

I could afford the Thera but don't want to splash out if I can get exactly the same for a tenth of the price!

My husband uses one made by TOLOCO following his hip resurfacing in January.

No complaints from him.

No difference at all. The generic one I bought comes with several heads (I stick to the round one) and as I've mentioned the speed is variable. I'd give it a go.

I have a Theragun and find it very good. It can be painful at first but regular use makes it more bearable. I only really use it on a low setting. My quads and calves are really tight from cycling.
Just a note, it is quite noisy.

Love mine. I get very tight muscles and it loosens them right out. Fab in my neck and on my tendonitis as well

Thanks everyone! I'm going to look at generic massage guns first and see if I can find some with decent reviews, then go for the Thera if not.

You've sold it :)

DH has one and so have just asked him:

He can tell the difference between that and a generic one. He does sport twice a week and suffers from a recurring muscle injury for which he has a sports massage every 4 weeks. If he was using it just for reliving aching muscles after everyday life, a generic one would be fine.

We have one. It’s great and I hate gadgets! Whole family uses it for diffeeenr things

I have a cheap version, it was about £35 on Amazon. I compared it to my friends real one and the difference was negligible.
