Which phone for a really good camera?

I am looking for a smaller phone, 6.5" max. It doesn't have to be the newest version, but it must have a good camera. I don't want it to be second hand so just an older one but not phased out yet.

I am looking at either a Samsung or a Google Pixel pro but am not really into phones so would be very grateful for any help please.

I got a Google pixel 6a recently and really like it. The camera is fab
And it comes with that erase tool so you can remove passers-by from the back ground which is nifty.

Google pixel cameras are amazing and often rated very highly on lists of phones with good cameras for good reason.
