Has anyone got vinyl roll flooring in their kids room? How's it held up?

I'm moving soon and the new house has old carpets that need replacing.

The kids have laminate in their current rooms, which I love but the issue is time constraints.

I can't afford to buy laminate and pay to have someone to fit it and don't have the time to do 4 bedrooms before beds and wardrobes etc go up

I'm thinking I can just pay someone to fit a roll of vinyl easily. But does it hold up?

They are all teens/young adult.

Depends if it's floorboards or proper flat chipboard panels I should think.

It's floorboards I think? Not looked under the carpet tbh

So chipboard would be needed really too?

Probably not worth the hassle then is it. Better to just get laminate
