Best beach near Bluestone?

We are going to Bluestone in September with our 3-year-old. I've done lots of reading about the resort and I feel we could quite easily fill all of our days without leaving the site. However, I am keen to have one day (or half day) at the beach, as it's such a beautiful area. If you were only going to have one trip to the coast, where would be best?

Broad Haven south or Barafundle. No facilities on either beach and a mile walk to both but well worth it.

Saundersfoot beach is lovely

Also Newgale near St David's if you are prepared to travel a bit further.

Saundersfoot is close, park at Copper Hall and walk through. It has a great fish and chip shop at the entrance to the harbour car park. Lovely sandy beach.
