Swarm of bees

A swarm of bees nested into a metal flu pipe of our wood burner in the summer house.
A company recommended by the beekeepers quoted £2495 minimum charge and £750 per day after the first day.
Seriously?!

If they are bees, local beekeepers will try and catch the hive and remove them. Normally free of charge - they get a swarm out of it.

However “nesting” sounds like wasps - their still taking the piss with the charges.

I mean they've already settled there for a couple of months, that's why I assume it's called "nested". I might be wrong

Go onto bee base or your local beekeeping organisation. Swarm catchers will come out for a small fee or sometimes no charge.
