If dead, it'd have to be Olivia Newton John. Everyone who knew her says she was a lovely, genuine, caring person with a wicked sense of humour, and generally just fun to be around.

Cliff Richard. I've always loved his music through the generations. He's also been life long friends with lots of other "nice" celebrities who never seem to have anyone say anything against them. Nice people tend to attract other nice people and friendships last for lifetimes, rather than the plastic artificial slebs who flit between people as it suits them.

I would also have liked to have been a friend of Victoria Wood, she seemed so clever, funny and kind but not too extrovert (I find extreme extroverts a bit overwhelming).

Also too late, but would have loved to have know Jeremy Hardy, he could make me laugh until I couldn't breathe.

@blcckamercanonosugar my DH did some work for Jeremy Hardy and I can confirm he was absolutely lovely and very very funny. RIP ❤️

Martina Navratilova - she's my kind of woman - direct, says what needs saying but she seems like good fun to be around - I also think she's quite compassionate and warm - I've liked her since the 80's! This would be no surprise to my wife - they are not dissimilar - but it surprises almost everyone I've ever mentioned this to.

@larkstar by all accounts she is as nice as she comes across. Well, the account of a car driver in Miami who drives her regularly and said she always invited him in to help himself to fruit from her garden...
