Who would it be? Just ONE...

Me? Tom Hanks. He's just so awesome and I bet he has so many interesting life stories

OP posts:

I can’t stand celebrities with sleek PR.

I’d be fascinated to see the real personality of someone controversial, like Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Jeremy Clarkson.

I think they all share the one personalty.

FlamingoCroquet · 05/08/2023 22:59

Marian Keyes (having listened to Now You're Asking podcast, I adore her)

Whadda · 05/08/2023 23:02

Greg Davies.

And he’d hopefully bring Alex Horne along too.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget you can run away with Steve, I’ll run away with Reece Shearsmith.
Friend wise, Bob Mortimer, Richard Osman, The Divine Ms R(owling)
I would have loved to have met Caroline Ahearne, and I once watched a documentary about Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballe and she sounded like the most lovely friend. George Michael sounds like a right good’ I too.

Bryan Adams

DoWaDiddyDiddy · 06/08/2023 01:21

Paul McCartney. He seems a nice guy and looks like he'd be a lot of fun. Or Dave Grohl, same reasons.

Michelle Obama.

Oh yes. Wise, funny, smart and loyal. She'd give a friend some cracking advice.

And Mackenzie Crook. Lovely bloke and I could get a walk on part as a dectectorist/ DMDC member/ pub quiz announcer/ whatever.

Plus Susan Calman. She'd be the source of a lot of fun.

swimlyn · 06/08/2023 02:08

Kate Humble.

SlippinJanie · 06/08/2023 02:22

Ben Stokes
Alex Hartley

Libmama · 06/08/2023 03:07

Lisa Kudrow definitely. Her laugh is amazing plus then she could introduce me to the rest of the friends cast.

ibtrue · 06/08/2023 04:47

Brad Pitt. Gorgeous

Einevinefine · 06/08/2023 09:39

Henry Marsh (neurologist), Jon Sopel, Emily Matlis, Hadley Freeman, Louis Theroux… since others have chosen more than more than person. Chris Martin still number one choice.
Like poster @Bilboard mentioned Katie Price too. I too feel she a friend and I have gone through of what she has with my son. It sent me crackers and am glad I didn’t have press in my life.

WandaWonder · 06/08/2023 09:40

Angela Griffin

ThroatwobblerMangrove · 06/08/2023 09:41

Bob Mortimer or Kathy Burke. Or both!

mrssanchez · 06/08/2023 10:19

Another vote for Dolly Parton, she's inspirational and fun!

MythosK · 06/08/2023 11:04

Steve Hogarth

midsomermurderess · 06/08/2023 11:06

With Jon Sopel, Emily Matlis, you’d never get a word in edgeways.

ToughFuss · 06/08/2023 11:06

Daniel Ricciardo, he just seems like he’d be so much fun

TootenCarMoon · 06/08/2023 11:22

Tom Allen
