are there any social workers on here?
Occasionally in my job I have to
make referrals to social services.
Recently I've had two, both of which involved reported domestic abuse in the home. Reported by minors living in the home. For both I was emailed later by SS to say no further action taken.
I'd love to hear from social workers as to how seriously you treat domestic violence in a home where there is children or is it only investigated where the children are also being targeted? So if
it's dv which kids are seeing and hearing, is this usually a case for
no further action?
