I’ve won Euromillions, how shall I spend it?

My winnings are the grand sun of £4.20. I don’t want to spend it all at once.

Advice please!

Another ticket?!?!

Willmafrockfit · 05/08/2023 09:02

cheap wine?

FearTheWankingDead · 05/08/2023 09:02

Me too!
I wish they would word the email they send differently. I thought I had won a lot and it was only £3.20.

Nagado · 05/08/2023 09:03

Another ticket and a bar of chocolate!

Bernadinetta · 05/08/2023 09:03

Meal deal

PowerToTheGnomes · 05/08/2023 09:03

Buy cake
Congratulations @Firesgoneout 😁

Invest it sensiblely and tell NO ONE. All the snakes will come out for a share now.

hollyblueivy · 05/08/2023 09:05

Posh cake

AnnoyingPopUp · 05/08/2023 09:05

Im sorry to derail but @FearTheWankingDead is just the best username ever 🤣

@Firesgoneout I’d buy a suspended coffee or two if there’s a place near you that does that? Or buy something for your local food bank.

ASDA have drumstick sweets and LoveHearts for 25p a pack. I’d suggest a wise investment of another ticket, 8 packs of sweets and 20p saved for a rainy day.

Firesgoneout · 05/08/2023 09:18

Some great ideas here, thank you, although I’m not sure what suspended coffee is. Does it float in mid-air?

But today IS the rainy day! I want to spend that 20p and I want to spend it now (stamps foot).

Double chocolate muffin, put a £1 in a pocket somewhere for future joyous discovery, shower gel a cut above the usual cheap crap to make you feel nice.

AgnesX · 05/08/2023 09:20

Wine, men/women and song. Life's too short!

ShadowPuppets · 05/08/2023 09:21

Have you considered consulting an IFA?

SingingFaLaLa · 05/08/2023 09:22

Invest it.

That £4.20 could be £4.41 by this time next year!

It’s when you pay for a cup of coffee but don’t actually take it, so that if someone homeless comes in and asks if there are any coffees going, they’ll give your coffee to them.

Lovethesummerrain · 05/08/2023 09:24

I'd go on Vinted, search for clothes for £1.50 and under in your size and pick something fabulous!

IHeartGeneHunt · 05/08/2023 09:24

Pick n Mix!

DaisyThistle · 05/08/2023 09:28

#BeKind OP. Convert it into 420 pennies and hand them out fairly among your family and friends in need.

DappledThings · 05/08/2023 09:31

Property is a great investment. With that much as a deposit you could get a decent LTV on somewhere like this.

Firesgoneout · 05/08/2023 09:35

I like the idea of paying it forward. I’d always told myself that I would give 10% of my winnings to the shop staff at the store where I bought my ticket. So, if you work in Aldi and sold me a Lucky Dip yesterday then I’ll be super generous and round it up to 50p to split amongst your colleagues. 😇

Apparently if you actually win big the email is worded differently. Something along the lines of “contact us at this number” rather than the usual “you won a prize, log in to find out”. So you’re never going to just log into your account and see a six or seven figure sum waiting.
