What to eat that’s quick and easy?

What do you eat that’s quick and easy when you don’t actually know what you want.

All the easy things I can think of I just don’t fancy e.g. toast; sandwich, toastie, pasta, cereal.

any suggestions?

This is me tonight I've settled on corn cakes (like rice cakes but made of corn), spread with a thin layer of garlic mayo and then topped the most amazing tomatoes that I picked up at the farm shop today, sliced and drizzled with balsamic vinegar, plenty of black pepper and sea salt. Simplicity at its best.

Fridge Tapas

Spaghetti with garlic, tomatoes and chorizo in and parmesan on. Takes about 12 mins, less if you have fresh pasta

Onion and garlic fried up, add frozen veg, boil kettle and dissolve an oxo cube, pour over veg, add noddles.

Homemade pot noddle but tastier.

this book is great for quick meal ideas - she has a website too Taming Twins. No affiliation I just find it really helpful!

Sorry should have said, the book is called What’s for Dinner. It has meal plans and shopping lists if needed. I’ve even got my 14yo DS to cook some of the 15 min pasta meals from it!

Coronationstation · 04/08/2023 19:48

I had bread crumbed fish and oven chips out of the freezer with baked beans cos I couldn’t be arsed cooking!

Whatever we have in from cheese, crisps, olives and crusty bread.

Omelette, cheese on toast, or soup.

If I'm really making an effort, and have the ingredients, gambas a pil pil.

Fry a sliced garlic clove in olive oil for a bit, then tip in some prawns, sprinkle with smoked and hot paprika and eat with crusty bread.

Greek yogurt with fruit
Granola
Crackers and cheese
Ready salted crisps
