Hosting an outdoor church event tomorrow but now weather forecast is high winds

I am in the South West and now panicking. We are meant to be having a bouncy castle and barbeque outside and table tennis and a few other games inside. I can grill sausages inside so that will be fine but the bouncy castle people have said they don't know if they can come because of the winds but they will let us know for definite today. So far they haven't let us know. We have spent ages advertising this event. I've spent 6 hours and other people have put in hours too. It's going to take at least 5 hours to let everyone know that the bouncy castle isn't coming and I also have to try and come up with more indoor activities to make the event not rubbish and try to convince people that it's as good as a bouncy castle. My dc are going to be devastated if the bouncy castle isn't coming and if people don't turn up as they have invited all their friends and been looking forward to it all year. Has anyone got any ideas of amazing minimal effort indoor activities suitable for mainly 7-13 year olds?

So the bouncy castle people are going to decide in the morning if they are coming or not. So I'm going to have an hour notice before the event starts. Argh.

Beetle Drive?

Just postpone, we’ve postponed our Messy Church picnic twice his year.

Can you get an indoor bouncy castle?

endofthelinefinally · 04/08/2023 22:04

I would not risk a bouncy castle even if the bring it tbh. They are so dangerous if it is windy.

Zanatdy · 04/08/2023 22:11

Will it fit inside?

dinoice · 04/08/2023 22:15

@Zanatdy I was going to say same. We did this.

Thankyou. Unfortunately the bouncy castle won't fit inside as we have lampshades which dangle down quite low (about 7ft from the floor I think). Beetle drive is a good idea.
