False teeth in 40s

So my teeth are awful. So i have been saving for implants. Its been a massive struggle as I'm on low income.

I had all my bottom teeth removed. This was before lock down. Basically I have been over 2+ years without bottom teeth . I did have temporary teeth given but I just could not manage with them. So I have managed with no teeth. I then had 2 implants /screws in my bottom jaw. My healing took ages . About a year I think. Due to lack of bone growth around the implant. So next time I go to the dentist I will get my bottom teeth attached to the 2 implants which is fantastic.

My top teeth are in really bad condition and it's going to look even more shit because I will have theses lovely bottom teeth and shit top ones. So as soon as I can save a bit more money. Top teeth will be removed and I will get temporary false teeth. Which will allow me time for healing and saving for the implants.

BUT due to struggling money wise dentist has suggestions. He said something about adapting the temporary denture so it can clip onto my upper jaw and it would be cheaper. I was just wondering if anyone has had standard denture adjusted in this way. If so how was it ?

I think there are still implants as there would be nothing to attach to otherwise . So i think it's because we would be adapting the denture which makes it cheaper?

Or how would just having standard top false teeth work. No screws etc

Any experience? Advice?
