DGD has CP, day three, more spots this morning original one's crusting over.

We have tickets for the Historic Dockyards on Tuesday. Any chance we will still be able to go, or do I phone them and rebook ( tickets valid for a year but need to book to go in).

It's typical she has come to stay for 2 weeks and came down with it after only a few days, we have had to already had to rearrange other activities but Historic Dockyards was the big trip out ( she us 6 but History mad).

I think you'll be OK OP, mostly they say it takes 5 days to crust over (and no longer be infectious). Unless she has a particularly bad case I wouldn't cancel.

I found using PoxClin mousse helped the spots frost over more quickly

*crust over

We have a Viral Gel, but Dad has decided to pick her up and take her home for the weekend ( they live 1.5 hours away) and bring her back on Sunday night so will get him to pick some up

I’d say Tuesday will be fine and she’s a wee bit older so could even understand not touching other people or keeping a distance at the busier parts? I’d imagine some of it will
be outdoors too?

The timing is a bit tight OP, unfortunately. The new spots today will barely have had time to crust over by Tuesday. And you might get more spots tomorrow or on Sunday as they don’t all appear at the beginning.
It’s a shame when illness spoils plans. But you are advised to keep children with chickenpox away from public place’s because other people may be more vulnerable.

We could go later next week. Will see what happens over the weekend and phone the booking office on Monday.

We have to book the dog in with the sitter as well, so was hoping we wouldn't have to change from Tuesday.

I hope it works out for you. Maybe it will obviously be clearing up in time.

We have put trip off till next Friday as still coming out in spots and is absolutely covered in them. Happy enough in herself has spots everywhere.
