Cooking salmon

Silly question and possibly in wrong area…
I defrosted some frozen salmon on Tuesday and put it in a marinade on Wednesday intending to have it We’d/Thur, forgot. Is still in fridge in marinade, only smells of marinade.
Will it be safe to cook and eat today, or should I just bin it?

No way, defrost and cook within 24 hours maximum with fish.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 04/08/2023 08:56

I mean it might be ok but I wouldn't take the risk personally.

I would bin it. Too many days.

Yeah, it might be fine, but it might also be that the marinade is hiding the smell of rot. I wouldn't risk it.

Missey85 · 04/08/2023 08:59

I wouldn't risk it not with fish

LovingLalo · 04/08/2023 09:04

Nope 72hrs is pushing it. Unless you want to spend your weekend in the bathroom 😱

Watchkeys · 04/08/2023 09:06

The bacteria that give us food poisoning don't smell, so the fact that it doesn't smell off is irrelevant.

Ok, seems unanimous, bin it goes and I need to be more careful to remember my food! I get carried away with trying to get ahead of myself!
Thanks all.
