Lucid dreaming

Does anyone else do this? I've only just found it has a name.

I can control my dreams, go back to old dreams, pick up new ones and go back to them a few months later and I remember them. I know I'm dreaming but it is very real, I can control what I do and how the dream goes. I can get up and go for a wee and then fall back into the same dream. It's a bit like masterminding a computer game.

I'm currently waiting for an ASD assessment and this came up in conversation as apparently can be linked to ASD. This happens four / five times a week and I always properly wake up fully refreshed and like I've had the best night's sleep.

Just wondered if it happens to anyone else or anyone else was aware of it?

I used to be able to do this. But the things I could do were limited; I couldn’t conjure up my dead mother for a chat, or snog Morten Harket, for example. I could fly though, and that was amazing.

DH can and is obsessed with it. So much so that I rolled my eyes when I saw your thread title Grin

He's not on the spectrum but is very analytical and intelligent.
