What's this pain?

Let me start by saying I am waiting for a call from my GP!! But in the meantime hoping to find ways to relieve the pain.

Sharp upper abdominal pain that started about 6.30 am. Quite severe in the sense that I set off for work and then immediately got the train home again. It's painful and slow to walk.

Not chest, kind of radiating down centrally towards belly button. Constant but also has waves of extra bad.

Hasn't shown signs of easing off yet.

Never had this before so not sure whether to bother with painkillers, leaning forward hunched over feels best, sipping water makes no difference.

Does this sound like gallstone pain?

Anyone had similar?

Have name changed because I will for sure be complaining about this to people I know 😑

Sounds a bit like my IBS pain which is usually constipation.

Sometimes causes extreme pain, bloating, chills etc. hopefully you can get it sorted.

It is indeed looking like that!!
Never would have guessed it from the pain on Thursday.
It has settled into a pretty constant pain just above belly button and lots of tenderness in the lower left hand side of abdomen.
Stomach is rumbly and unhappy. Being careful to avoid hot drinks apart from peppermint tea. No acidic foods.
Bloating that gets worse over the day.
GP wants me to do h pylori test plus has ordered bloods for various things. Also mentioned diverticulitis. I see a colonoscopy in my future 😂

I keep googling things as they occur to me. Why would constipation make my actual stomach so sore? Wouldn't that be something more like an ulcer?
