Can you tell me if there was thunder last night?
I was woken in the night by what sounded like rumbling but my husband said it was probably my snoring woke me up 😂please say it was thunder and my snoring isn't that bad

Yes there was a massive lightning bolt that hit just off the coast of Pilling. Funnily enough it didn’t wake us or even the dog though!

I live a lot more inland and there was a huge crash of thunder plus lightening.

I think I was woken twice but again didn't know if I'd woken myself snoring 🙈

About 3am it hit our village! Not too far from that area. Was horrendous - thought it was something else at first. You can see the lightening strike in our CCTV and hear the thunder. Freaked all of the animals out!

We live closer to Chorley but the lightening was from the Blackpool direction at about 2:50 I think. Very bright rather than simple jagged lines followed by loud crashes of thunder. There was a second one about ten mins later.

I'm more inland but I jumped out of my skin!
I was woken by the light first. It was like a flood light had been turned on and then an almighty crash!

My adult DD was cat-sitting whilst we're in Spain, and she said it hit just before 3am in Lytham. 2 cats totally unbothered, she and kitten were clinging to each other! 🙄

I'm on the coast in the area and did not hear anything 🙈 it's all over Facebook on the local pages though. I must have slept through.

I’m more Lytham way but heard it.
