Any way of getting a non digital phone line

Just been switched to a digital phone line which means it will only work when the router is switched on/we have electricity. Given that the modem often doesn’t work, I would prefer a traditional phone line. I don’t want to have to rely on mobiles. I want a home phone that everyone knows where it is in case of emergency. Plus ever since the switch I can only call landlines from it not mobiles.
However, is anyone still offering traditional phone lines??

The type of phone numbers you can call is not related to the type of phone line you have. You may have a package where landline calls are free and you get charged for mobile calls though. Who is your service provided by?

I know I should be able to call all numbers - it is just that since the switch I can’t call mobiles. Virgin don’t know why.
