Winchester

I'm planning a short break in Winchester later this month, and would be very grateful for any suggestions for activities, eating out and walks from anyone who knows the area. We're three adults staying quite centrally and won't have a car, but are happy to explore further afield by public transport. Fingers crossed it stops bloody raining!

Walk along the river from King Alfred to St Cross if not raining.
The Cathedral, obviously, and museum nearby.
St Catherine's Hill.
There's a cinema.
The science centre is a bit out of town and will be teeming with kids so give it a miss unless v. interested.
Train to Southampton would get you to e.g. Titanic Museum
