Horrible headcold/fluey thing taking ages to clear up!

Hello - has anyone else got a horrible head cold with aches and pains that just WILL NOT GO AWAY? I've had this for almost three weeks now and it's miserable; DH has just come down with it too. It's extra annoying because I'm about two weeks away from having our second baby.

Is there just a nasty virus doing the rounds? Will I ever feel healthy again? Are sinus-clearing sprays addictive because if they are, I'm officially a junkie!

Us too! We wondered if it was a Covid variant as it’s just so weird.

My sympathies, @PurBal - it's horrible. Bearable for about a week but now it feels never ending! Quite possibly a covid variant - it does feel like a sort of 'flu type thing.

Yup, 3 weeks for me too

@BeaumontLivingston I had a feeling I've been reliant on them for too long . . . dammit. Sounds like I need to go cold-turkey and accept I'm going to feel even worse for a couple of days Sad

Do you feel any better, @AuntieDolly? I feel like I've plateaued - although lack of sleep from hourly pregnancy-pees probably isn't helping.

Try sterimar spray for congestion. Its free from steroids and drugs, i find it very effective.

RedPandaFluff · 02/08/2023 19:55

Having a look for that right now, @Robinonaspade - thank you!

Hope it helps. I find that and facial steamer first really clear out my sinuses and shift the goo!
Sterimar stop is useful at the start of cold symptoms.
Good luck, hope it helps.

@RedPandaFluff yes I'm fine now thank you, but it did drag on. One day I felt I was getting better, then really rough again
