Qq about food in fridge and time out of fridge...

We're on holiday this week. Had an Asda delivery at the start of the week. Put food into fridge then realised about 2 hours later that the fridge wasn't switched on, so I switched it on. It can't have been off foot long as ice cubes were still frozen, but it probably took at least an hour to cool down.

Will food - eg fresh chicken and quiches - be ok to eat after being out of a fridge for about three hours?!

Yes. just cook them thoroughly

I'd say yes! As they would have been cold when they were delivered.

OMG yes. I never put my work lunch in the fridge (hate cold sandwiches and communal fridges) so it is on my desk for 3-4 hours, might be cold chicken, quiche, cheese, tuna, cooked salmon, salad. All good.

What about cold meats, that I can't cook?

They'll be fine, I don't put my work lunch in the fridge and that's way more than 3 hours. I've never died, as far as I know.

Pretty sure they'll be ok. Just check anything over before eating and avoid if you're not happy with look, smell or taste.
