We moved into what will hopefully be our forever home 2 years ago after getting corked by the housing crash of 2008 were we lost 100k on our first home. We still feel a bit cheesed about this because we were young 22,23 married couple trying our best and of course lots of our friends bought far bigger houses in 2009 onward and have sold and made a mint ( sob story over 😂) . It has taken us all this time just ti break even to get rid of our first home and only because DH was left inheritance have we been able to get deposit together to move to this home but we can't seem to get things off the ground due to the mortgage going up massively and prices for quotes being really expensive too. I almost feel we should have moved to a smaller newish build and have everything done.
Ps I know we are lucky to have a home and we are very grateful. X
