Anyone been?
We have a family meal for my sons 18th in Manchester and he’s keen on this, or somewhere Japanese.
Just wondered if anyone has been or has recommendations for the latter

Thanks!

I’ve only been for drinks, not food. It’s always been really busy and loud so not sure it’d be the best place for a family meal/conversation.

what about food at the Ivy Asia and then drinks at Albert schloss?

It’s always really busy and lively. I agree it’s better for drinks after. You could go to Sapporo Tepanyaki for food, there’s a sense of theatre there too as well as good food so it’s good for a special occasion.

Ooh ok that’s interesting! He loved the look of the Bavarian menu but we do have one vegetarian in the group who might be happier with something else!
I’ll look those places up now

It’s great for a lively meal where everyone will be drinking. Always a great atmosphere and I’ve never had a bad meal (bratwurst and chips are decent). Often live music on at night.

wouldn’t recommend if it’s a family event where people want a quiet chat. Have been on a few work nights out there that have been great.

The vibe is ‘lads fuelling up on chips before they go on an after work bender’.

Which might well be what you 18yo is after!

Haha now I think about it I was recommended out by two ‘lads’ at work but they’re 27 and 30 so bit different.
We’re not a quiet or prudish family, I’ll be the oldest at the table at 44 years old but yes thinking maybe somewhere a bit “classier “ for the meal….

I loved it! Very lively but more suitable for a fun drink. Maybe go to the Ivy then drinks there?
