Hi
Ds8 was sick yesterday and just generally unwell. Last night we noticed some spots on his neck. Now the ring rash it doesn't have the texture of ringworm

Oh I don’t like the look of them, no idea what they are so that’s probably playing into it. I’d seek advice off 111 tbh. The sickness would make me want to be better safe than sorry.

I know the bullseye thing can happen with tick bites but I don’t know if they’re true ‘bullseyes’ or if it’s likely to be more than one.

My daughter had the same looking rash with strep A but the doc said it can happen with all sorts of things, what's his temp like? She wasn't sick, though.

ThatDreamSheep · 31/07/2023 19:29

I'm not too sure but think I would be tempted to phone 111 for advice with that

How are they in themselves now OP? I think I'd be contacting 111 too. Always worth checking

ImDoingThisNow · 31/07/2023 19:38

Sounds like it could be Lyme Disease symptoms. Get him checked and any doubt push for antibiotics.

Scottishdreams1991 · 31/07/2023 19:42

He is well now but im going to call 111 as this has now appeared:(

Not a doctor but that really looks like ringworm

Inmy40 · 31/07/2023 19:58

I’ve seen this happen with Covid so could be considered too.

brokenlore · 31/07/2023 20:00

Could be allergic reaction to something, but with that thigh, I think a trip to the pharmacist (if you have one open locally). Is it itchy or painful at all?

brokenlore · 31/07/2023 20:00

Doh sorry I missed you are calling 111, I think that's sensible

Elisheva · 31/07/2023 20:03

That looks like hives. Have you got any anti histamine?

Jellycats4life · 31/07/2023 21:24

That does look like hives. Wonder if something he ate has caused this, hence the vomiting as well? Although the time scale is long so possibly unconnected.

Scottishdreams1991 · 31/07/2023 21:49

Would anyone believe me if i said we have already been and come home from out of hours!!!
So its hives and he has an antihistamine which is already making a little but noticeable difference. The gp said it could be anything that has caused it.

I’m pleased it was a quick trip @Scottishdreams1991!

Hope he continues to feel better.
