Looking for info on benefits for person who is unwell

My friend lives on her own. Single. No kids. In her 50's. Private rents. No savings.
Has always worked full time. Earns around £25000

She's been having real problems with her mental health. Her doctor and employer want her to go part time because she's really not well enough to work full time but she can't live on part time money. (Approx £15000 a year for about 20 hours per week)

Would she be entitled to any benefits that she could use to top up her income?

I said I'd try and find out for her as she's not up to doing the investigation herself.

Get her to call her local CAB for a benefit check. She could have UC entitlement, maybe PIP.

OK thanks. I didn't know if there were rules eg if you work more than a certain number of hours per week or earn more than a certain amount per week then you don't qualify for any help.
