Unexpectedly pregnant and would like to keep it private for a while after my 12 week scan. Still getting my head around everything. However, I'm going on a friend's hen do when I'll be around 15 weeks and just wondering if this will be possible, or if I'm likely to be showing by then?

I'm currently 11 weeks and look slightly bloated sometimes. This is my first pregnancy. I'm currently 63kg (lost a couple of kg due to morning sickness)/5"4/size 10 - 12.

Yeah, just get a floaty dress and big cardi. How are you going to explain not drinking? Is this something unusual for you?

You’ve missed out the huge detail of what the hen do is… beach weekend? Huge piss up? I’d think it’d be easy to hide but it depends on the activities planned really.

It depends on your friends - will they suspect not drinking? No one believes the antibiotic line, and all it takes is one pushy idiot and it's out there. (Hope I don't sound too bitter!!)

If it's a problem, fake drink and just water plants with prosecco and replace with nosecco 🤣 then order a tonic at the bar instead of g+t for example.

Good luck 🤞

Forgot to add, hiding drinking won't be an issue: I've never been a big drinker and have been on clubbing holidays etc with these some of the friends where I've not drank after midnight but stayed out dancing til 5am. I'll just hold a glass of prosecco/get tonic water in a gin glass early on in the night and then drink soft drinks or water as I usually would. That group of friends never ever does rounds which also makes that easy.

The hen do is a UK weekend, very gentle activities in the day on the Saturday which shouldn't be a problem, and then dinner and a night out that night. Next day is breakfast, walk and pub lunch before heading home.

No one but DH knew until I was 19 weeks, and this was despite some big family occasions.
