Nice or nuisance?

I have a glut of runner beans and thought I'd share with a neighbour. I put them in a bag with a note and hung them over the fence which faces her door. Due to strange fencing/roads, her house isn't nearby to just walk around to and I don't know her number. DH thinks its an odd thing to do. Would you find appreciate fresh veg, or find it a nuisance?

Update:- today my neighbour delivered a lovely thank you card. Apparently she absolutely loves runner beans and was delighted. 😊

Mil often does similar as she has an allotment near us, I sometimes come home to find a little basket of lovely fresh veg by the door.
And when Fil was alive he used to play the meat raffle despite not eating much meat himself, then we’d usually come home after a Sunday walk to find a packet of bacon or sausages or chops posted through the letterbox and once a whole chicken (in a bag) dangling from inside window handle we’d left open 😂
