Anyone had a leather sofa refilled?

We have a really good quality leather sofa which has gone a bit saggy which gives me backache! It’s plucked to bits by our elderly and untrainable cat (she’s 17) so there’s no way I’m spending £2-5k on a sofa for her to pluck it within 5 mins of delivery! Soooo I was thinking of getting our existing sofa refilled.

anyone got this done by an upholster? It’s got sealed seams etc, no zips

Ugh, yes. DP had his hideous old leather sofas refilled with 'firm' foam while I was off staying with my parents and I still haven't forgiven him. He says they are good for another ten years now but I think they are not only horrible but also now like slippery rocks to sit on.

So it is possible. Just not advisable.

🤔 ok - I was hoping for another 17 years!

What with like the bodies of their enemies, ears of cash…?! What?!

I’m in Northern Ireland so none of this is beyond the bounds of possibilities here!
