I had a chicken needed cooking so thought I'd make a roast for dd and I. Have made apple and pear crumble for pudding.
If you aren't ahving a roast what are you having today?

I’m having cod and chorizo fish cakes with green veg but I’d prefer a roast! Cba with shopping for it now tho.

I'm doing roast chicken, potatoes and veg later with some Yorkshire puddings. I'm not a huge fan of roast dinners but feel the need to do one very now and again.

Roast chicken done with herbs, roast potatoes (well, it feels autumnal out there), broccoli and peas.

Roast pork with toast potatoes and veg. Ice cream for dessert!

egowise · 30/07/2023 15:24

Roast potatoes 🙄

petitdonkey · 30/07/2023 15:26

I bought half a leg of lamb and had planned flatbreads/ mint/ pomegranate salad type vibe but the weather is so rubbish that I’m now making full roast with potatoes gravy and Yorkshire’s! Delighted with a previous me that froze a cauliflower cheese!

OldTinHat · 30/07/2023 15:30

Crumpets, garlic butter, mozzarella cheese, baked for a while.

It's fabulous being single!

Theoldwoman · 30/07/2023 15:34

We had roast pork with roasted beetroot, pumpkin and carrots.
Steamed broccoli, cauliflower and beans.
Apple sauce.

Too much faffing about for the 2 of us, so we'll have chicken Rogan Josh later, with various accompaniments

Stella100 · 30/07/2023 15:51

Can’t contemplate roast dinner in July, even though it’s pouring with rain.

Anjo2011 · 30/07/2023 15:54

Roast chicken here too with roast potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, peas, Yorkshire , gravy and a few left over sausages. Has been a while since we had one and I am really looking forward to it.

LibertyLily · 30/07/2023 16:32

We usually have a roast every week - unless there's a heatwave (not likely this year!) - but rarely on a Sunday since there's just been the two of us at home.

We're making a curry today (lemony coriander chicken) and will have that with rice, M&S black daal, naan and poppadoms this evening.

Will probably do roast gammon with roast potatoes, loads of veg, stuffing and yorkshires tomorrow or Tuesday. Probably minus gravy as DH isn't keen and I never remember to make it just for me.

Sort of. Aunt Bessie is making the roasties though, I had precisely 30 seconds in Tesco before they shut and I grabbed what I could. I just fancy a roast.

Pansypotter123 · 30/07/2023 16:53

@sawnotseen and @WhateverMate I'm new to air frying. How long do you do your roast potatoes for and do you baste them in dripping at the start of cooking them? 😋

luckylavender · 30/07/2023 17:01

I am. I have a joint of beef that I'm going to cook in an air fryer for the first time.
