Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my spot in the kitchen. The window's open but it's very quiet atm. No-one else is up yet so it's very peaceful down here. Best time of the day 😊

I suggested yesterday that we have a trip to a local shopping outlet today. Not sure I can be arsed now today's here though 🙈 . I think I'm ready for a nothingy kind of day, pottering about the house.

If we don't go out, I'll finish painting my next set of peg dolls for work - MP's/business men for a class doing Parliament as their first topic in September. One's painted & the other outlined so they'll be fairly fast. I might add a lady too.

Dd2 wants to finish tidying her room before a sleep over on Tuesday so I'll probably help with that too. We've already cleaned/cleared out most of it this week, before the sleep over was planned, so may as well finish it off.

Dd1 needs to get the printer out & make a start on some college work that's been set for over the summer, so I'll make sure she does that, and do some printing of my own.

I'm going to shift and put some pork in the slow cooker in a minute. Think we might have it as sandwiches with stuffing and roast potatoes later on 😋

It is absolutely pouring down here, wetsuit and flippers weather 🤦‍♀️ I am fed up to the back teeth of rain!

DH is working so just me and DS (5) gonna be a loooong day. Hoping it clears up a bit and we can get out and about for a wee while.

I've got the house to myself this morning, dh and dd8 are at the cinema. Dd18 and 15 both stayed out last night at friends.
I'm planning on giving the house a good clean while it's just me here. I want to hang some washing out although it's sunny at the moment I think rains forecast.
I'm planning a lazy afternoon, might cook a Sunday roast if I can be bothered. Tonight will be flopping on the sofa and tv

We are going to a festival Later on, it’s set to pour with rain so we may leave after dd has performed! Which means probably a takeaway for dinner as we originally would have eaten there.

Child & DH have headed out for the morning, I’m doing some work (paid) so I don’t have to do it next week then planning a good declutter of my office which appears to ‘collect’ things from the whole house!

I’m learning about shadow people

I'm trying to get the kids ready for two weeks away with their dad and then planning on making a start with cleaning. I've neglected the house due to being too busy with work.

Oooh I love it when you do these 🥰 DH is playing golf so it's just me and DC at home, they're currently pottering about living room playing with their toys & I'm watching Greys Anatomy waiting for the washer to finish 😊 the weather is grey but the sun keeps popping through the clouds every now and again so I'm debating whether to put the washing out or not! We have an unexpected free day as plans have fallen through. Tho k I'll head to the allotment for a tidy up , swim and steam at the gym then a chicken roast but really fancy some pan fried cabbage with it....

Kids all doing their own thing and DH will be using the time to get some golf in. The good thing is I blitzed the house and got all the washing done yesterday as I thought we'd be out all day today.

Have had a productive morning, got a load of washing drying on the line, done the ironing for the week ahead.
Am ready to go to a gym class at 10.30 then I think we’re planning a walk to the beach and maybe a glass of wine.

I'm chilling in bed with a coffee .
Dh was up early to meet Dd 1 at the cricket so they will have a good time together.
Dd2 and her girlfriend stayed over last night as we all were out together for dinner last night so they will probably have a chill then head home sometime this morning.
Dd3 is still sleeping but is doing some a level work today and her and I may have a trip to the garden centre later for coffee and cake.
I bought a fig plant this week and need to get a large pot for it .
Washing is on and hopefully I can get it on the line to dry as it's gorgeous here currently.
A lovely day ahead I feel.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I've been awake for ages. Breakfast has been and gone and I'm fighting hard against cake this early. I'm revising my plans because of the torrential rain showers today. I planned to be in the garden but a phobia of slugs has stopped that. I even found one on my kitchen door 😱. The tumble dryer is on but I think it's on its last legs so the washing won't dry easily. Anything which is dry, will be ironed later. My car is full of stuff to take to a charity shop after a good clear out yesterday. I might just have a lazy day.

I'm sat with my first coffee. Dd1 and 2 are still in bed.
Dh is taking ds1 and 2 to football in about 15 mins and I'm going to do a good clean of downstairs the summer hols have taken their toll!
Dh's brother is coming over later and I'm doing a roast I need to nip to the supermarket and get a vegan option and some dessert.

No major plans but now I want to try the expensive tinned tomatoes 🤣after reading the thread (I always buy basics)

OMG, it’s chucking it down here - been out with the dogs earlier, and they are not happy, lol (Spanish dogs who hate cold and wet!) Just chilling after a lovely wee egg’n’bacon buttie now. Heating is unashamedly on - it’s Baltic and I am cold after dog walk. Was going to go into town later, but might stay in and relax with doggies and dp instead.

We had a busy day yesterday shopping and bowling and tea out so a day in today.

I've cleaned all of downstairs including a much needed vacuum and mop 🫣. Just having a coffee before I tackle upstairs. On the plus side I can see the bottom of my washing basket!

Plans for this afternoon include an "everything shower" so hair oil and mask, exfoliate, shave, face mask. I have a new book I'm looking forward to starting.

Dc are currently rebuilding their Minecraft empire and dh has gone to visit his parents so it's unusually quiet.

Toad in the hole for tea and prep for the week ahead.

I'm on the Isle of Wight visiting my son who turned 20 yesterday. Lovely sunny day yesterday but today a bit cooler and drizzly. We are waiting for my daughter to come downstairs to have breakfast then we may do a food shop (my usual thing to make sure he's stocked up), Monopoly game and just hang out til we leave after lunch. He's already taken the dogs for a mammoth walk.

Working this afternoon 2.30 to 10pm. My fibro has flared up tho and I'm in a lot of pain and feel completely drained. Its a physical job so will be dead on my feet by time I finish.
Lying in bed at moment. Was up at 7 but was hoping to go back to sleep but the neighbours have other ideas. One cutting grass, another is playing music loudly. A third is working on their car.

Home from holiday and have got through
most of the washing/ironing.

Off to the supermarket and then back home to finish the laundry/unpacking, cook a full Indian and get ready for the week.

@rosao I can never get toad in the hole right 🙄 Maybe I should try again!

Dh and ds have gone for haircuts, the food shopping has just arrived so I need to put that away, then I'll get the red cabbage in the slow cooker to go with the roast later. A quick tidy and hoover and popping to the shop for some fat for the roast potatoes because I forgot. Nothing else planned, might do the roast for mid afternoon and have a glass of wine and watch a film later. We're all off this coming week and it's dd's birthday on Tuesday so we've got lots planned but no work for a whole week 😊

Both Dp and I are still in bed. I'm scrolling MN. He's snoozing. He has already taken the Ddog for a walk in the rain and collected the car from the local pub.

We've got Sunday lunch booked in for 3pm down by the sea but the weather is rubbish so unsure if we will take the Ddog with us.

DC not due home until tomorrow

We’ve been to see Barbie this morning, for thosr who haven’t yet it is definitely worth a watch.

We’re back off to Herne Bay, we really liked it yesterday, so we’re going to have a picnic and some beers on the beach. Going in the hot tub tonight, or as I should say as I’m on MN, sex pond.

Washing pile underway here and just getting ready to walk the hounds, although it’s just starting raining again!
Food shopping arriving soon so I can get dinner in the slow cooker when that arrives. I’ve seen a nice yoghurt cake recipe I want to try from Manon who was on GBBO, you use the yoghurt pot to measure the ingredients 🤤
