DH did the washing once. About a week ago. I was childish and since he never ever does the washing I asked if he could bring it in from the line. It then started pouring down with rain so he said he will wait till the morning and hopefully they would have dried off. So finally a week later he brings in the washing 😂 it needs found rewashed so he dumped all the soggy clothes on the floor and the second they dropped I counted 6 mini fast little bastard spiders crawled out all over the carpet. I screamed, he screamed, my lesson is learnt, washing and drying is my job 😂

What?

What?

Basically the clothes were out too long and a spider laid eggs on the clothes.

WanderingWitches · 30/07/2023 00:15

Why are there so many posts about spiders at the moment?

ElizaWinter · 30/07/2023 00:16

And I thought this was going to be about spider willies 🕷️

See? MN is right. Never leave your clothes out overnight to get darked on. This is the result.

HangerLaneGyratorySystem · 30/07/2023 00:27

I think it might be spider time, I've seen a lot of "babies" recently, usually hanging round my washing line (they love a rotary dryer). Hence lots of spider posts. As for men fucking up the washing, yeah that's an old trick OP; ruin everything, never get asked again.

Yeah oldest trick in the book op!! DH makes sure to do such a bad job that you won't ask again. Welll ask again. And again. And again.

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/07/2023 00:35

Why is the lesson that washing is your job?

Why isn't the lesson he needs to stop being such a lazy bastard?

unsync · 30/07/2023 00:45

That's called strategic or weaponised incompetence. He's got what he wanted hasn't he? No more laundry duties. 🙄 Don't fall for it.

AtrociousCircumstance · 30/07/2023 00:46

Yeah surely lesson no.1 is facing the fact you have a lazy arse H? Not that you have to be his laundry maid forevermore?!

ps I like spiders.

Yep. There's a term for this, it's weaponised incompetence.

Furries · 30/07/2023 05:07

I am going to ignore the fact that there are a few spider threads around, it’s fairly normal for this time of year!

Forget the spiders - wtf did he get away with leaving washing out on the line for over a week? I don’t like flippant man-bashing on here, but seriously?

Allmyghosts · 30/07/2023 05:29

Spider willy and darked on wasn't funny the first time <harrump>

JasonOsCubanHeels · 30/07/2023 05:39

It’s not about spiders it’s about a lazy, useless DH

haha what are men like eh

HeadacheEarthquake · 30/07/2023 05:46

What's childish about reminding your husband to finish the job he started.

This can't be real, surely.

According to MN it's hilarious everytime it's brought up!

minmooch · 30/07/2023 06:01

Woman learns that is her job to do laundry because poor little man can't do it properly.

I bet there are lots of other 'jobs' he can't do properly either.

Alighttouchonthetiller · 30/07/2023 06:51

Why would you leave washing on a line for a week? How tawdry.

IncompleteSenten · 30/07/2023 06:54

It's nice to see more of them. I'd noticed there didn't seem to be as many around a while back.
My son brought one in on the washing. I put a top on and one ran across my face. I'm not scared of spiders, I think they're cute, I don't even take down webs in my house while the spider is still using them but it surprised me and I instinctively slapped my face and squashed the poor guy into my cheek.
