Tips for homemade pizza?

Going to sound like a right thicko but I bought a few of the Pizza Express packs of pre-made dough in the supermarket today on whim. Never done my own pizzas before, only fresh or frozen pre made.

We don’t have a pizza oven but a quick google tells me a hot oven will do just fine.

Do I literally just add passatta, cheese and whatever toppings and away we go?

Has anyone got any tips or topping ideas they could share please!

Yes, if the base is pre-made, just add toppings and bake in oven. We just tomatoe purée and some bbq sauce as base, cheese on top and toppings on top of that (whatever we have left in the fridge).

Would love an easy peasy pizza base recipe to step it up a bit though ...

It's so easy I make my base with a bread maker. Use tomato puree and ketchup as a base then cheese and anything else you like.

I use tomato puree with a bit of balsamic, dried oregano and basil and sometimes garlic and/or onion powder. Then whatever toppings and I put cheese on last. Bake at a high temperature. Don't put raw veg on, cook it first, otherwise it ends up raw or making your pizza base soggy. Use grated mozzarella.
Tortilla wraps and pittas also make good pizza bases.

Dust the bottom of your dough with flour to prevent it sticking
