Hello

We are looking at getting a new kitchen and saw this place. Has anyone used them? The reviews seem to be amazing or awful.

Can anyone recommend another supplier?

Thanks

There is a kitchen fitter on TikTok who raves about them. He says DIY kitchens are better quality than Wren. I’ve see a few posters on here recommend them too.
I’m in the market for a kitchen so I am busy studying designs, I will be watching this thread with interest.

Used them five years ago. Amazing quality and yes better than Wren. My builder was impressed with them and has used them since on his builds. We continue to have used them on a couple of rental properties we have that needed kitchens. Highly recommend

I bought from there 10 years ago. Very good quality, delivered assembled and very solid. Have had no issues with them. Mine was a painted one and the paint has held up very well.

Really good video comparing basically the same kitchen from 5 different companies including DIY Kitchens who are not only the cheapest but the best quality. Well worth a watch to see where other companies skimp on quality materials.

We also used them and I was extremely impressed all around by the quality and service

We are mid way through fitting one at the moment! Absolutely fantastic so far! Really pleased with the quality and the service.

Butteredtoast55 · 29/07/2023 18:42

Ours is three years old and I'd gorgeous in every way. The joiner who fitted it said the quality was excellent. They were brilliant to deal with and I'd definitely recommend visiting the showroom if you can.

Xanadu58 · 29/07/2023 19:06

Bought our kitchen from DIY kitchens in 2019 . Very pleased with quality .

Glenthebattleostrich · 29/07/2023 20:20

Brilliant, thanks. We live 30 minutes from the showroom so will go visit them when we are off work.

Love mine. Bought in 2018. I already had a fitter booked and he recommended Howden's. After fitting mine he said he would recommend DIY to everyone in future. My sister visited the showroom with me and was so impressed she recommended it to a friend who lives somewhere near Bristol.

They made a weekend of it (whilst visiting friends) and chose it above the 30k one they were about to purchase - it was about a third of the price.

Because most of their cabinets come in sizes with 50mm increments it is incredibly easy to get something that really fits your space.

We got ours from there in Nov 2021. The quality of the units is fantastic, as was the customer service. There's a really helpful Facebook group for people who have bought or are considering buying from DIY Kitchens. https://www.facebook.com/groups/381845813632207/?ref=share

I’ve bought 5 kitchens in the past 5 years from diy kitchens and always found them to be excellent quality.

Isseywith3witchycats · 04/03/2024 15:25

Another DIY Kitchens fan here 2 years ago we went to wickes first, got the plans and a qoute, display of the one we wanted was one door stuck to a wall ,

went to DIYs showroom as we live near enough mini kitchens built to show what they look like done,

we went in for a light grey matt and came out with a light blue gloss

price £2000 cheaper than wickes qoute and now looks like it did when brand new very happy bunny here

GeorgiePorge · 04/03/2024 16:11

I've used them twice and recommended them to another 5+ people who I know have gone on to use them.

Units are great quality, service was great and delivery really impressed. they do quality checks out of the factory so knew a door was damaged before the delivery arrived and a replacement was already in its way. Price wise I don't think you can beat for the quality you get

Favouritefruits · 04/03/2024 18:58

Had anyone got the web address for these kitchen please, I’ve looked on google and a few with similar names pop up!

We've just done up a house and used DIY kitchens from recommendations on here, very impressed. Our kitchen fitter was very impressed with them too.

scorpiogirly · 08/03/2024 15:42

Interested also! Desperate for a new kitchen

Also62 · 08/03/2024 15:50

We had one 8 years ago and would recommend. The customer service was excellent, fantastic quality and the kitchen fitter was full of praise.

BrondesburyBelle · 08/03/2024 15:53

We have a 6 year old DIY kitchens kitchen. It was definitely better value than other alternatives and mostly v well made apart from one cupboard which was always a tiny bit wonky so the door wouldn’t close properly. It took me ages to figure out that it was the wall unit that was wonky so haven’t sent it back or complained. I loved their planner and visualiser that was v helpful and worked well to figure out what we wanted

Firsttimebabymama · 08/03/2024 16:03

My husband is a fitter and we used DIY for our own this time. I really like it. Normally use Howdens but they didn't have the colour I wanted

Xyz1234567 · 08/03/2024 16:06

I have an 8 year old kitchen from them. It is fabulous - looks as good as the day it was fitted. I designed it myself using their website tools and I will definitely use them again should I need to. My builder couldn't believe how little I paid for it. All the cabinets came fully built and were delivered very carefully and beautifully packaged too.

Reallyitsonlyme · 08/03/2024 16:24

We also have a DIY kitchen, recommended by a friend. It’s 2 years old now and looks great.

One problem with a damaged item was quickly resolved with a new one being shipped out.

We have a few small dinks in the inside of the bin drawer but I think they is because people automatically bash things on the side of the bin. I would like the ability to just buy a replacement door front which I don’t think you can do. Not 100% sure.

overall we are very pleased with it.
