I need my arse kicked

All I have done with my kids so far this school holiday. Bowling and took Dd cinema. Whilst younger 2 were at their dad's. Other than that they have played I the pool/garden /house

I have had hell of alot going on. I feel really drained and finding it so hard to get motivated and find the energy to do anything.

I know that's no excuse not to take them out and do things. So I need to give my arse a kick .

Well you've done more than us so far. We've mostly been at home, garden and walking the dog. DD had her usual Saturday morning activity today and DS had swimming lesson. I think you're being very hard on yourself. It's fine for kids to make their own entertainment.

I think you need to stop being so hard on yourself. They’ve only been off for a week. They’re not at Butlins and you aren’t entertainment manager. Plus they probably needed some downtime after a year of school. They’ll be fine. Get yourself up and running and it will just fall into place.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You've done stuff out & at home, they can have a few nothing days where they entertain themselves too. It sounds like you could do with some down time too 💐

When did your summer hols start? We’re only a week into it, I’d say bowling and cinema is pretty generous for a week! We’ve done lots of homey stuff, lots of playgrounds, mini golf (£3 each)/splash pad (free). That’s it really.

How old are your kids?

Ds16dv · 29/07/2023 17:43

That's true I never thought about down time. I will try get them out tomorrow evening if it's just the local park

The cinema was Sunday last week . That was just me and dd though. The only thing I done with all the kids was bowling.

The 3 youngest are 7,8,13 also 16 hit and miss if he comes .

It feels much longer. Maybe I'm more bored than they are 😅
