How much activity/walking does your three and a half year old do?

He’s my first and only so don’t have a great comparison.
he hates walking he says it makes him tired (I think he finds it boring compared to his scooter and balance bike as he always happy to zoom around on those until it gets to a hill 😂)
he’s often on his feet at home and rarely sits still.

but he doesn’t do set activities like football or swimming or anything like that, perfectly capable of running round a soft play for a couple of hours like a lunatic though.

was just wondering whether he gets enough exercise really. I don’t drive and the bus drives me mad so I tend to take him by scooter or balance bike everywhere. It’s a twenty minute walk to nursery, and a twenty minute walk to the nearest park, twenty five to town and he does these journeys regularly (does complain about tiredness on the way home).

should I be doing more set sporty things do you think?

That sounds find. Mine is just 3. He is on the go all day, but he doesn’t do any sport classes.
We drive around as it’s not walkable to town for example, but he will happily do local woodland walks where the trails are 5km if he isn’t tired.
He will use his bike along promenade for ages, around bike park at other end and back.

This morning he’s done about 45mins in the swimming pool ( with swim vest paddling around, he can’t pro swim lengths or anything), a short 20 mins in playground and has been pottering around garden with us this afternoon
