For instance, you've said your child is off sick from school even tho it's because you are on holiday, and they then come down with a sick bug.
At my work we won't say a certain word beginning with Q that means it's not noisy. If we do, it's tempting fate that it'll suddenly get busy. No idea what would actually happen if somebody did say it because nobody ever does!
