We order from our local Chinese too often, a mix of ordering via their app or popping in. On the app, we always collect and pay on collection. Never get a delivery or pay online.
The last time I used the app before yesterday, my husband went to collect, they hadn't received order from app. No harm done, he ordered while he was there and waited. The next day I got a text saying "your order has been cancelled". Figured the app was glitchy.
I ordered last night. They called me a few mins later to check I wanted to collect not delivery. I confirmed and went over on the specified time.
When I got there she checked my order with me and said that the last time we had ordered on the app we didn't collect. I said no, my husband had come to collect, that they hadn't a record of it, so he had ordered again.
They hadn't started my order. Despite ringing to check if I was collecting. They must have thought I wouldn't show up.
She is new there, so I don't expect her to know us, but you can see on system how often we order. Also if we hadn't shown up the last time, they could have called then.
My husband had a conversation with them at the time- when they didn't have the order they had a brief chat about it and manually entered order onto till.
I don't know why it it annoying me so much though. Like I say, she is new, so for all she knows I could be regularly wasting their time and resources. It's not that big of a deal. But I am still irked.
